GETTING STARTED

Sign In to Your Account:
There are two ways you can log in to HorrorComix.com

"Shop" Account:
If you already have a Shop account, proceed with logging in with the blue "Shop" button.
Using a Shop Account is a secure and quick way to log on to HorrorComix.com. It is also used across many other websites making it easy to log in to multiple online stores with ease.
- Email Only Account:
You can also create and sign into your account with just your email address. A code will be sent to your email address which will allow you to sign in.
If you don't see the email field you may need to click on "More sign-in options"
- Account Approval:
New subscribers require final approval from our team before your pre-orders and subscriptions appear in the "My Subscriptions" section. This extra layer of security helps us prevent fake or duplicate accounts.
All approvals take 24 hours or less. While waiting for your account to be approved, you can proceed with pre-ordering and subscribing - you just won't see your orders until the approval process is complete. If you created an account and have not received approval, please contact us.

How to Pre-Order:
Pre-ordering is simple on HorrorComix.com - Here are step by step instructions:

Select a product
There are multiple ways to find books and products on our website, this includes:
- Publishers
The default view on the pre-order/subscriptions page is by publisher. We offer books and products from over 50 publishers which can all be found in the "Publishers" section.
- Product Type
We don't only carry comics, graphic novels and books - in the "Product Type" section you will find Comics, Comic Novelties, Games, Graphic Novels, Magazines, Manga, Non-Comic Novelties, Novels, Toys and Models.
- Release Dates
If you are looking for when a particular issue or product is released you can use the Release Date section and sort based on when the item is estimated to be released. These dates can sometimes change so it is a good idea to check back often.
- Last Call (FOC)
This section will allow you to sort by Final Order Cutoff (FOC) which represents the last date an item can be purchased for pre-order. Once the FOC date passes you will no longer have the option to order that particular issue or item. We carry hundreds of back-issue comics on eBay so if you do miss a FOC be sure to check our eBay Store. If you find a book you want on our eBay store that you would rather purchase direct or add to your upcoming subscription or pre-order shipment just reach out and let us know.

Pre-Order
Once you find a book or product you would like to pre-order, you will see a "Pre Order Issue" or "Pre Order Cover" button. The "Pre Order Issue" button allows you to pre-order the main cover of that release. Once you click the button it will disappear and the book will show up in your "My Subscriptions" page as a pre-order. You also have the option to pre-order one or all of the variant covers - each cover will have the "Pre Order Cover" button below the text which will add it to your "My Subscriptions" page.

How to Subscribe:
The best way to ensure you don't miss an issue of a particular series is to subscribe. This will sign you up to automatically receive each issue as it is released. To subscribe use one of the methods above to locate the series you would like to subscribe to.

Subscribe
Once you select the series you will see the issue that was last released at the top of the page - you will also see a "Subscribe to Series" button. Once you click this button you will have the option to subscribe to cover A, B or both.
The "Fulfill with Main cover if cover not available." Checkbox allows you to receive the main cover (A) when B is not available. This only matters if you are subscribed to only the B cover. If a particular issue is released with only a main cover, you will receive that in place of cover B.
- Subscribe to other (or all) variant covers:
If you would like to subscribe to other variant covers besides A & B please reach out to let us and let us know which additional variants you would like to subscribe to (or let us know if you would like all variant covers) and we will add these covers to your future orders. One thing to be aware of when subscribing to variant covers beyond B is some variant prices can be up to $100 (and sometimes more) per cover. If you would like all variant covers the are below a certain dollar amount, please let us know.

Ratio Incentive Covers:
Some series or issues offer retailer incentive "ratio" covers. This means a certain threshold of books needs to be purchased by the retailer to be able to order a copy of the ratio cover. For example, a 1:10 ratio means for every (10) copies of the regular covers ordered, we can order (1) 1:10 ratio cover.
If you would like to purchase enough comics for the threshold required for a particular ratio incentive variant we will add it to your order at cover price. For instance, if an issue has a 1:10 incentive ratio variant and you are ordering 10 copies of the main cover and/or other variants we will include the 1:10 incentive ratio book at cover price. (the incentive ratio variant does not count towards the ratio minimums)

How to Manage Your Profile:
Managing your profile will allow you to add or edit your personal information including your name, email, adrress
To manage your profile click on the user icon at the top left of the page next to the cart button.

How to Manage Your Subscriptions & Pre-orders:
Managing your pre-orders and subscriptions has never been easier! To begin, click on the "My Subscriptions" link

My Subscriptions
In this section you can view all of your active subscriptions and pre-orders. All new orders are placed in an approval queue - this allows our staff to check the order to confirm accuracy and availability. While waiting on approval, you will have the option to delete/cancel your order by clicking the red trash can icon. Once your order is approved (within 24 hours) it will show up in the "Subscriptions" section. Once a pre-order is approved you will no longer have the option to delete it. If you have an approved order you would like to cancel, please reach out to let us know and in most cases we can cancel it (unless already shipped).
Under "Subscriptions" you can see the type or order (Series = Subscription) along with the title, price and quantity. To adjust the quantity of a particular order, change the number in the QTY text field and click Save. To delete a subscription, click the red trash can icon.
- Pulled Order:
The Pulled Orders section will show all of your orders that have been received by us and allocated to ship.
- Billed Orders:
The Billed Orders section will show all of your orders that have been invoiced. Before an order can ship, the complete invoice needs to be paid. See the billing section below for more details.
- Shipping Preferences:
The Shipping Preferences section will allow you to adjust the frequency of your shipments, these options include Weekly, Bi-Weekly and Monthly. Each order will have a shipping cost associated to it so the less frequent your orders the more you will save on shipping.

Shipping Preferences and Invoicing
All orders are invoiced based on your shipping preferences and release dates. Here is a breakdown:
Weekly Shipments: Invoices are sent at the end of each week for that week's Final Order Cutoff (FOC). You will only receive an invoice for the week(s) that you have an order for that week's FOC.
Bi-Weekly Shipments: Invoices are sent at the end of every other week starting from your first FOC order. If you have an order for both weeks the invoices will be combined.
Monthly Shipments: Invoices are sent at the end of each month for that month's combined FOCs. You will only receive an invoice for the week(s) that you have an order for that month's FOC.

Using a Discount Code
When you go through the checkout process to pay an invoice there will be a section where you can enter a discount code.

Condition:
We are collectors here at Horror Comix so we understand the importance of condition. All of the books we ship are in Silver Age BCW re-seal bags and boards giving the comic that extra layer of protection. We found that "current" bags and boards don't give very much protection to the corners since the board is the same size as the comic for this reason, we do not use them.

Damaged Books from Publisher
We inspect all books before they are shipped to ensure they are not damaged. If we determine a book is less than a 9.2 grade we will not ship and request a replacement from the publisher. If this happens we will reach out to you right away to let you know. If for some reason there is no more stock from the publisher we will send you pictures and give you the option to purchase the damaged book at a discounted rate or if you prefer, we will give you a full refund.

Damaged Books Shipping
There are rare instances where a shipment is damaged from poor handling by the shipping service. If you receive a damaged order we will ask that you send us pictures and then give you the option to replace (if available) or receive a full refund for the damaged items.

Packaging
We take pride in our shipping methods and only use the best bags, boards and shipping containers. For smaller orders we use Gemini style flash mailers packaged inside a bubble mailer. For larger orders we use boxes that are specifically designed for mailing comic books.
